# Whimbrel Research

Whimbrel Research does prospect research for medical device development
firms. We track the US public record for medical device activity,
funding, regulatory decisions, and development milestones, and match
funded companies to a development firm's capabilities and focus. Every
fact we publish links to the public source it came from; anything that
cannot be verified is not published.

The corpus currently tracks 2308 US medtech companies, updated daily.

  7 days. Stable event ids, parsed dollar amounts, event and
  observed dates, a source link on every row. Updated daily.
- /hot.json: companies with a buying-window event in the last 14
  days. Updated daily.
- /methodology.md: what this data is and what the free feed excludes.

This free feed is a rolling window. The full corpus, its history, and
company-to-firm matching are the paid service.
